Fabrication Coordinator

We have an excellent opportunity for a Fabrication Coordinator to join our team.
Purpose
Ensures that employees are properly trained and supervised in the areas of equipment operations, quality policy, safety, housekeeping, and interpersonal skills to perform their duties.
Position Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Coordinate day to day activities to maintain scheduled production schedule
- Continuously improve processes
- Ensure safety of employees
- Maintain quality standards
Secondary Duties:
- Interface with technical and support staff to accomplish organizational goals
- Establish and incorporate plans to meet annual goals
- Reduce inventories
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- Knowledge/Experience:
- Five to Seven years manufacturing experience in fabrication environment preferred
- Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machine Shop, and Industrial Saw experience desired
- Prior supervisory experience is required
- Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive fabrication knowledge and understanding of process control and production scheduling techniques
- Lean manufacturing hands on implementation
- Blueprint reading skills are strongly preferred
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Prefer Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations or similar field
- Physical Requirements:
- Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
