Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance

We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical/Mechanical Technician in our Manufacturing division.

Responsibilities

  • Must be qualified to design minor electrical circuits and to test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
  • In addition, must be able to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Must be qualified to install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
  • Must have knowledge of the electrical power, steam, water, and gas distribution systems.
  • Must perform basic mechanical repairs
  • Must be able to perform the work of the lower class identifications.
  • May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.
  • Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.
  • Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
  • Must interpret blueprints; work from sketches or verbal instructions.
  • Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
  • Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
  • Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Perform a variety of work as directed by the coordinator.

Compensation

  • Hourly starting rate $22.13 plus $.35 second shift premium= $22.48
  • Duration/Usual Hours Per Week: Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week
  • Shift/Work Days: Second shift opening- 3:00PM-11:00PM five days per week. Monday-Friday.
