Customer Service Representative - Home Laundry

We have an excellent opportunity for a Customer Service Representative - Home Laundry.

The Customer Service Representative - Home Laundry will function as a member of the customer service staff reporting to the Manager of Technical Service.

The candidate will provide technical support to a wide variety of customers, including ALS sales representatives, distributors, independant service companies, and servicing dealers of Speed Queen branded home laundry products. The Customer Service Represntative is responsible for providing technical support and training on all types of equipment Alliance Laundry Systems manufactures or distributes and acts as a liaison between factory on field matters relating to service, service parts and warranty items.

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative's daily activities include working with distributors to establish service training schedules, support technical service calls received within the department, working with ALS sales representatives establishing adequate service levels to support retail dealer sales and answering questions from end users regarding machine features and installation requirements. The position will require travel to conduct field service training seminars.

Position Requirements

  1. Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
    • Candidate must exhibit a high degree of computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
    • Candidate must have strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to speak in front of large groups.
    • Candidate must be willing to travel on a regular basis, 2 weeks/month and have the ability to rent vehicles and obatin a personal credit card.
  2. Education:
    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • A four year technical degree, or a two year technical degree with two years related experience, or four years related experience in a technical field is preferred.
