Associate Brand Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Associate Brand Manager to join our team.

Position Responsibilities:

Primary Duties:

  • Acts as Primary Brand Advocate & Voice. Direct and drive Marketing Agency, Director of Marketing, and National Sales Managers in development and planning of marketing efforts for their assigned brands/segments. Deliverables include advertising, public relations, direct marketing, interactive media, sales collateral, trade shows and other special events. Coordinate activities in advertising, promotion, and marketing research. Assists in the identification and development of business building ideas to create a positive image of the brand.
    • Work with marketing agency to execute marketing communications utilizing the most effective form of delivery.
    • Works with Marketing agency to analyze sales results against established objectives to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs and recommends adjustments proactively as needed. Establish metrics for all spending.
    • Regularly review marketing plan with Senior Manager Communications & Brand and marketing agency looking for new ideas and concepts.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the annual Tactical Marketing Plans for each brand and segment of responsibility.
  • Continually solicit feedback to gauge effectiveness of marketing efforts by getting inputs from: travel, customer councils & conferences, or surveys to distributors, customers and end users and analyze. Works across functional departments to identify, collect and analyze key information (e.g. customer satisfaction surveys).
    • Travel required meeting customers and developing key field contacts. Understand who makes the purchase decision -- where, how & why existing and new customers are influenced to purchase your brand.
  • Manage relationships with specific external organizations, including the company's marketing agency and sponsored relationships. Attend tradeshows and interact with distributors/customers and end-users.
  • Closely monitors and reports on competitive marketing activity and key global marketing opportunities and threats
  • Coordinate and align external market research activities across the company, ensuring consistency, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent application of company direction, strategies and brand identity throughout the company's global communications and product branding.
  • Interface with channel support programs such as distributor web site design program, co-op advertising, and sales lead processing and look for initiatives to help customers maximize these programs.
  • Participates in Product Management project meetings, becoming familiar with specific brand models, controls, and features.

Position Qualifications

  1. Knowledge/Experience:
    • At least 3-5 years related field Marketing experience in Brand, Channel or Account Management, preferably within a manufacturing-based B2B company.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Acrobat in a PC or Mac environment.

    • High level of initiative and assertiveness (Proactive).
  3. Education:
    • BS/BA degree in a business related function.
  4. Physical Requirements:
    • Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
