Materials Supervisor
Alliance Laundry Systems, headquartered in Ripon, WI is the largest manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment. We have an excellent opportunity for a Materials Supervisor in our Service Parts division.
The Materials Supervisor supports the Service Parts business in implementing management techniques that support customer service and days of supply goals for the service parts business. Ensures that Alliance Laundry System’s inventory investment provides a strategic benefit to the company.
Responsibilities
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure proper balance between inventory investment and customer service expectations.
- Supervises material planners and clerical functions within the Service Parts business.
- Maintains item master, forecasts, purchases orders, work orders and other relevant records.
- Oversees managed inventory programs, analyzing stocking levels and customer usage. Ensures the inventory programs are properly documented and inventory levels are within target ranges.
- Administers a cycle counting program that identifies root cause of errors. Analyzes errors and implements corrective action.
- Provides expertise to the organization regarding planning and forecasting issues.
- Adjusts forecast as necessary based on additional information such as product promotions, customer orders, sales input, etc., to ensure availability of items.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the area of business, operations management or related field is required.
- Minimum three (3) years materials experience.
- Experience in a highly engineered environment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP II systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills; able to gather and analyze data, identify goals, explore and select solutions, evaluate results, implement change and report activities to upper management.
- Supervisory skills; demonstrates trust and respect for others, looks for way to build positive relationships on the work team, able to communicate expectations and coach and develop employees for success.
- Ability to utilize technology to create reports.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
